Caring & sharing #199

Dear Agony Aunts

I have just been released on license from a secure hospital & I am keen to track down the psychiatrist who had me committed some 15 years ago. He seems to have ceased practicing some years ago & has now disappeared from sight.

In spite of the years of hell that he put me through I would like to meet-up with him again to thank him for his concern & professionalism at what was a difficult time for both of us. I’d also like to tell him where his wife’s body can be found & give him every opportunity to be reunited with her.

What do you suggest?

Dear “Barking”

A difficult one this as it is possible that your one-time helper may have already shuffled off this mortal coil. Have you tried using Linked-in or Facebook on the internet yet?

A good firm of private detectives can help but we get the feeling that you’d rather deal with this whole situation privately & so we can do little but suggest that you try using the internet sites we’ve mentioned & the archives of local newspapers from where he lived & practiced.

If you do decide to use outside help we strongly recommend an assumed name, always wearing gloves & signing any contracts with the “wrong” hand – & frankly a wig & assumed limp might also not go amiss.
