A Kansas robber who, with an accomplice, stole a man’s mobile phone & wallet at gunpoint, subsequently recognized the victim as an ex-con he had done time with & gave the possessions back, it was reported by police last night.
A man in Wichita, Kansas reported that two men approached him on the street late on Wednesday evening, one of them was carrying a large semi-automatic handgun, the Wichita police spokesman said (nothing concealed about that weapon it seems).
The gunman demanded the victim’s phone & took his wallet while the second man searched his pockets, the police spokesman said.
“Then, he (the second man) realized he spent some time in prison with him. He apologized, shook hands & walked away,” the spokesman added.
And now the really funny part…… Although the victim went to police & said he knew one of the robbers well, having spent several years in an adjacent cell to him in prison, he said he did not think he could identify them in a suspect line-up.
You could not make it up.

“Yes.”
“Good disguise. See you at the game tonight?”
“Never missed one since we got out!”
