Janet’s romance with Kevin had been driven, more than a little, by her drive to outshine her oldest and dearest friend, Alice. After the wedding reception she awoke to discover that the guests had left – and so had Kevin, along with Alice and all of the gifts. All that remained was a terrible hangover and an empty Rohypnol phial besides her still half-full glass of champagne.

Debbie got more & more excited as her mother fussed with the veil. Unfortunately her, previously unseen, husband-to-be was entering the room at the same time & saw her in the wedding dress – a hugely unlucky omen (as things turned-out) since Debbie finished him off at the reception with the knife they used to cut the cake.
