Caring & sharing #45

Dear Aunts

I have for many years harboured a secret desire to make a name for myself on the stage. My husband always laughed at my dreams, but now that he has passed-on (& thank you so much for your helpful leaflet “Accidents in the home & how to engineer them”) & I am financially independent, I feel that I would like to “go for it”, as they say.

Any advice for a 68-year old theatrical newbie with greasepaint running in her veins?

Dear “Rita”

We’re glad you found our little pamphlet useful & we hope that your new life is all that you wish.

From a practical point of view we would advise you to get an agent & generally not to bother with auditions for burlesque shows.

Break-a-leg!
